One of my 20 gal. tanks has a whiteish cloud in it, I did a 5-10% water change last night and put "Mardel Brite n clear" in it and left it dark most of the day, still cloudy, did another 20% change today and pulled out most of the decorations and cleaned some of the gravel that is covered most of the time, found one missing fish :( but still cloudy. Any help would be appreciated.

Is the tank cycled? If not that might be the problem. A bacteria bloom. If not then it might be an algae bloom. How long has the tank been running and what fish are in it? Also how much light do you have?

Hi Davy

This tank has been going since June, it is a planted tank with a Power Glow 18" 15W lite (the same as my other tank )

tank mates....
5 black skirted Tetras
3 ruby barbs
1 clown loach
1 pl*co ( I know they get big, new tank in planning stage)
1 Fat Albert (corycat) well fed...

I think that is it....

the only thing that my feeble brain can come up with is to check out your filtration system. i have seen mine do that in the past when my filter was not functioning properly. for instance in power filters maybe i didn't seat the cartridge correctly, or water was not flowing properly because the internal workings got too clogged up.
good luck!
