Cloudy water?

The water in my 20g tank has become horribly cloudy. I have no idea what the heck went wrong or how to fix it.

My water stats:

pH: 7.4
Ammonia: 0
Nitrite: 0
Nitrate: 10

Any suggestions as to what is wrong or how to fix it?

I have heard the cloudy water is beause of a bacterial bloom and will go away or poor washed gravel. I hope that helps

If we could bet some info. What have you done in the last week or so to your tank? Have you changed your filter or any equipment? Any other info you can provide us with will help us help you.

A white cloudyness is cause by 2 things 1 the Bacteria Bloom and 2 something has died and it is still in there.

The only thing I have done different was to add some proper ph stuff to it. Nothing is dead in there as when I did a head count all fish were accounted for.

I would stop using the PH stuff I have heard that it really dosnet work and will only mask if you really have a problem.
You will probably read it a lot here steady PH is better then Perfect PH.

It was the first time I've ever used it and will probably be the last time. It made the water a little cloudy, but it cleared up. We did a gravel vac yesterday and by last night the tank was cloudy, and tonight it's hideous. Haven't changed the filters or anything else. Just used the gravel vac.

Do another large water change. How long has this tank been set up? What is your typical pH?
