I posted this in the wrong place last time, so here it goes again...

Does anyone know if I could keep clown and skunk (hora's) loaches together? The skunk loaches do not seem to be taking care of the snail problem in my 55 gal and I was wondering if they could be kept together without them fighting.

thats tough.skunks can be very combative to almost any tankmate if they feel like it.clown loaches get lager and are more passive and skunks stay smaller and are more aggresive.that doesn't mean that they won't have territory issues with each other.they will end up competing for the same hidey holes unless the clown are older and larger.in a 55 that may be too small already.i haven't met a loach that didin't love shrimp pellets.skunks like to jam into spots that seem too small for one fish, but instead there will be 6 or so in this tiny space.so try to offer small caves and such if you try both in one tank
