if your planning a tank now, then fish should be the last thing on your mind at this point. Do tons of research (Lordroads thread is where you should start.) A 10 gallon nano may cost anywhere from 200-400 dollars (give or take) once all is said and done.

Just dont rush into things and you wont run into stupid problems that plague the impatient

It's always nice to look at fish and have a long term plan but be aware as you get further into the hobby your outlook may change and you may want something different :).

Best species of Clown Fish in nano tanks is True Perculas. A pair could be done in a 10g. No anemones in such a small tank though so if that's your motivation...yeah.

this isn't my site but it's been an awesome help for my nano tank. I don't think I could of started my nano tank without it.

you will want live rock, more healthy for the tank, this is what carries the bacteria that eats the ammonia, nitrite and other bad things.

read lordroads sticky in the nano section, very good info there. i'd say live rock is required for a 10g. its the best total biological filter, and will be the most stable option possible for a small tank like this. if you go slow, take your time, and be thorough it shouldnt take more than a couple of months before you tank is stable and fish ready. once there, you can probably keep 1 small clown in a ten. maybe another fish like a gobie too but thats it. I recommend the false percula (also known as ocellaris) clownfish. they are very hearty and resilient, an ideal first fish. cant state this enough though, wait until well after your tank cycles twice: once with just live rock and once more with clean up crew.

Hi there, check out some of the other threads or 'journals' in the nano section and it will probably help answer lots of your questions. Especially read Lordroad's sticky on starting a nano like shwnicus said....it covers cleanup crew and then some.
Just to give you an idea: I have an ocellaris clown in my 10gal nano with 1 emerald crab, 2 astrea snails, 2 nassarius snails and 2 margarita snails.
