Clown loach sizes

#1
I am going to be adding some more clowns to my tank in the near future...I am wondering how sensitive they are to different sized loaches...will they not get along with loaches that are say half the size of the ones I have(3") roughly.......

I don't think this is an issue since I see peoples tanks with all different sized clowns...but I want them all to get along...

We had two clowns for a few months, then added a couple more. There didn't seem to be any problems, although I am sure they had to re-establish their pecking order. Actually, the larger ones kind of buddied up with a smaller one for a while, kind of a big brother/sister kind of thing. :)

i usually try to get them around the same size as the ones i have or a little smaller, that way the pecking order fights might not happen. the last time i bought clowns they were about an inch smaller then the biggest one i had, and the new ones immediatley just followed the others.:)

if you get babies id put them in another tank for a little while to grow them out a bit, they might have trouble getting food with the bigger loaches around.

Until they get used to their new friends, you will probably have 2 schools of clown loaches in your tank. It shouldn't take long for them to become one big happy family.

my clowns usually hang out in a big group and then break up into two or three loach groups when i feed them, and then they go back to the large group.

my clowns werent very active until i put the yoyos back in the tank, before they would only come out to eat and then hide back in the nooks in the driftwood, now they swim around all day.:D
