How big do they get? What is there minimum tank size? Is it really nesisary to keep a group of 6 or will a group of 3-4 be good? Is there a way to sex them? I want to try and breed them. I noticed that there are very few reportes of them breeding in captivity and I wanted to see if I could figure out a few to do it. Any addition information is appreciated. *PEACE!*

Never mind I did some researche and discovered they get a little to big for my tanks right now. I want a YoYo loach instead. Do you think they can live with livebearers?

A couple of yoyos would be OK with livebearers, but they can be a little nippy. If you have a 30g tank, three or four polka dot (Botia kubotai) loaches would be a better choice. They're smaller and less nippy. They're usually available, too (I believe PetSmart sells them).

Thanks. The Polka dot loach sounds like a better idea. I'll go with them. Will the do good will sand. I plan to plant this tank and will add a few of those pipes that they like.
