Clown loaches

Bought 5 clown loaches today for 3 buck each at my LFS.  I was wondering if you guys know if they would eat my amano shrimps?  I read on the net that they like crustaceans.

Good question.

They do like live foods, and I would think that they would try and go after them. My weather loaches love shrimp.

I've heard that they find shrimps quite tasty on other boards.

Sinking shrimp wafers work good too, as do tubifex cubes but I wouldn't recommend tubifex, unless it's from a trusted brand and they are freeze dried.

$3 for a clown loach? that's an excellent price. How big are they?

I got to admit, it was the cheapest clown loaches in my area.  They are about 4 inches each.  I think they had so many of them that hadn't sold in awhile that they wanted to get rid of them.  Well I really won't know if my 7 shrimps are going to be alive for long because I only see them once in awhile because it's heavily planted in a 60 gallon.  Well, I am not too worried concerning their algae-eating ability because my LFS order some SAE for me (he had to get 120 as minimum LOL).  He owes me because I spend way to much there.

wow..great deal on the clowns...as for the shrimp..i'd think they'd be a sitting target for any fish, if and when they shed their shells like other crustaceans
