clown loaches

my lfs has some clown loaches that are about 1.5in long for $2.99 each. i'm planning on getting some i would like to know a little more first.
would they eat flakes that sink to the bottom of the tank?(if not what do i feed them?)
will get around will cory cats?

my fishes are...
angelfish
mollies
maybe some red eye tetras(didn't pay yet)
most likely some cory cats

water specs...
50gal tank
7.0ish pH
soft water
everything else 0

i need to know by this weekend. Thank You

They're scavengers, but they're also voracious snail eaters. I got a 3/4" one last week, and the guys been AWFUL busy, dead snails litter the floor of the tank. Fun to watch first thing in the morning, he'll knock one off the glass, then slurp out the guts.

Add a MTS snail or 2 and he'll forever be well fed :)

They will eat flakes that sink to the bottom, but mine would starve if I relied on that alone. I feed them tablets that I break up to the right size and number (one chunk per loach), because a single tablet is too large.

Hmm, I only feed mine flake food, they will occassionally come to the top of the water and eat from the surface. They will also eat tubifex worms, and peas. At least mine do.
