Hello,

I recently purchased some clownfish today (2 small ones) they have been in the tank for about 5 hours
and I finally fed them once they got used to the tank a bit more.

I then put the light on and they immediately hid behind the rocks, can anyone explain why? I left it for about 5
minutes and then switched the lights off and they came back out.

I'm guessing it could either be that they are not used to that light or they were slightly stressed.

One of my lights is a power glow and the other is a marine glow.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks!

The tank is 33" x 19" x 14" (85cm x 49cm x 36cm) and holds 34G.

I guess they are most likely adjusting to the tank, every time I switch the light on the dart behind the rocks. I'll try it again tomorrow or later today.

Thanks

turn on the roomlights first then turn on the tank light.also make sure the light isn't too intense for the fish.how would you like to sit in a nice dark room and then be blinded by instant sun.fisn in the wild get their light gradualy not instantly.
