hey guys, i've noticed that whenever i add small amounts of carbinated water to my tank for the plants it gets extremely cloudy and i have to literaly replace the filter cartridge for it to eventualy clear out over night.. any ideas as to why this happens when i add the co2 water? could it have something to do with the ph of the water rising because of the co2?

thx in advance :)

co2 will lower pH.
do you vacuum gravel regularly? the carbonated water could be stirring up debris in gravel. (any stirring of gravel will make water cloudy)

I have DIY CO2 and my water isn't cloudy.

well, i do clean it often. but it appears this morning that the tank is 100% fine. i tested the water last night as well. nitrites were high for some reason. ammonia was fine.

edit: i just checked the co2 water i added. appears to have various types of salts in it. very freaking wierd. maybe the salts had something to do with it.
