CO2 Injection & Bettas?

I put the typical DIY co2 injection with my betta, putting the hose into the HOB's intake tube...HOWEVER since bettas don't like a heavy current I keep the filter set to low. This does not allow enough suction to get the co2 into the impaller (*sp) and it builds up inside the intake tube..

Is there a way to diffuse the co2 without increasing the current in the tank? I have an Aquaclear Mini on the 10g tank...

thx

You could tank a bubblle stone and attach the CO2 line to it. Then place the stone underneath the intake tube of the filter. The smaller bubbles will get pulled into the filter and hopefully they will not get stuck like in your current setup. I believe ladyhawk has her CO2 setup like this and from what I have heard it works well for her.
