Columnaris? (Mouth Fungus)

My dwarf gourami seems to have a little white tuft of fuzz around his mouth...could this be Mouth Fungus? It wasn't there this morning. He doesn't seem to be eating much either, but it is hard to tell. If this is the case, do you think I should treat with penicillin? Does the fish store sell this sort of thing? Please help if you can before I lose this fish.

if it's columnaris, you need to LOWER the temp and treat aggressively.

i have had that before ? not nice my fish ended up dead after weeks if treating him.
on my fish this did not spread but you can never tell)

WOULD DO A WATER CHANGE say just over 25% make sure what ever it is/ was isn't in the tank?

Sorry that you fish did not make it. I would agree on the water changes too. Maybe even a couple of 25% water changes over a three day period to really clean the water.

The only good thing that comes from a fish death is beeing able to go to the LFS and pick out something new. Unfortunately I am at the limit of my 29gal so I have to get another tank
