Columnaris or Fungus?

I've notice that my dwarf gourami has a couple of fuzzy spots on his body. The first one showed up a couple of days ago and it almost looked like someone took a bite out of his rear, but today he had another fuzzy spot on his underside.

I've posted a picture, but the quality isn't all that great.

Does anyone have any ideas?

It's hard to see in the picture, but I would assume it's some kind of bacterial infection. There are several meds that treat both fungal and bacterial infections, so it might be a good idea to use one of those.

Thanks.....last night I put Melafix in his tank, but unfortunately he didn't make it through the night.
