I was just wondering if these would go together ok in a 4ft tank...

- Pseudotropheus saulosi
- Pseudotropheus socolofi
- Labidochromis Caeruleus

Or if you have any other suggestions for a blue/yellow look.

Thankyou

i think it would be ok, you may have trouble with hybrids with the 2 pseudotropheus but ive had mbunas of all different genuses breed together so not much you can do, just kill any hybrid fry or feed them to other fish (not the mbunas), but other then that it should be fine

what i would do is not get the yellow labs and just get a large group of saulosi, i have a tank like this and it is great, the males are blue and lback and the females are all yellow so you would still get 2 of the best colorations in mbunas and would have no worry about hybrids, id get 3 males 12 females possibly a few more females if oyu want, saulosi are great fish, although if you want labs go ahead and get 1m 5f saulosi 1m 5f labs, although with a setup like that youd have all yellow fish with one male saulosi

In a 4 foot tank he has lots of options for other species as well.
...depending on this 4 foot tank, it could be a 55 gallon or a 120 gallon :) A friend of mine has chipokes and tropheops chilumbas in with his salousis... the salousis can be nippy, so the male chilumba straightens him out.

Ahhh...yes....I didn't even think about all the yellow fish...thankyou for pointing this out to me. I also wanted to know the general availability of saulosi. Are they easily attained in the lfs? And are they one of the more expensive mbuna's??

yea i thought about suggesting other fish but decided to stick to what he already said he wanted, that should be ok, although i would suggest like somonas pointed out looking into another species, maybe one from a different genus with multiple colors and a nice pattern, labeotropheus trewavasae are nice
