Hello everybody,

I've got two Marineland H.O.T Magnum 250 standard canister filters and I wish to connect a bio-wheel ( powered by the canister water output ) to one of them.

Since I didn't buy the Pro filter with all pieces to connect the bio-wheel, what part number(s) do I need to make this connection?

This site seems to have a bunch of connectors, but I have no clue what is needed.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Do you have a single biowheel, or the dual biowheel setup? I used to use 2 HOT 250s, each connected to a Biowheel. I bought the biowheels (used) as a PRO-60 dual-setup, and separated them so they each had a filter connected to each. After only using one for a long time, I have hooked them both back up a few weeks ago. Right now, I have my XP3 outputting to one of them, and a HOT250 connected to the other one.

Anyway, if I can tell correctly from the pictures:
One of these: Marineland Bio-Wheel Pro Barbed Elbow Connector With O-Rings at Big Al's Online connects to the biowheel, and you connect hose/tubing to the other end (like a 5"-6" piece).

If you have dual wheels, you use this between them: Marineland Bio-Wheel Pro Barbed Tee Connector With O-Rings at Big Al's Online and connect the other end to hose/tubing.

Then, the other end of the hose/tubing connect to this: Marineland Bio-Wheel Pro Barbed Elbow Assembly at Big Al's Online

^^^That piece will then slide on to the end of the adapter coming out of the HOT Magnum (below)

Coming out of the HOT Magnum, you'll need one of these: Marineland H.O.T Magnum Outlet Adapter-Bw Pro Connector at Big Al's Online

Don't forget a diffuser for the end: Marineland H.O.T Split Flow Diffuser-Bw Pro Connection at Big Al's Online

You will need one of each of the above for each HOT/Biowheel setup, with the exception of the T-fitting, if you are connecting 2 wheels to one filter. If you are confused, let me know and I'll try to get a picture.

P.S. 8-days shy of being my first post in 2 years!
