So I have 2 tanks...1 is a 20 gallon one 5 1/2.
The 20 is my main tank and the 5 1/2 has guppy fry.

I had a great setup in my main tank and then all of my fish started dying...the ammonia was a little high but everything else was ok...
but i realized the reading were the same in both tanks, same temp too.

My fry are still a live and kicking...

I thought I had to just start from scratch with the main tank and then re-cycle it...so I put the african dwarf frog i had in the main tank with the guppy fry...
now he's dead too.

I;m worried that maybe there was some fish virus or infection in the main tank...and i'm worried about the fry. Is there any way to tell??

Also...if I bleach the main tank, how do I know the bleach is gone?? How do I clean the decorations and gravel to disinfect??

clean the gravel and stuff with a bleach water mixture too.... the only "contagious" disease I can think of is ich, or white spot, but if you had that you'd know...

What are your levels?

many diseases are infectious but contagious between fish and an amphibian I am not sure, I would tend to believe a water quality problem.

I went through a similar scenerio minus the frog, I tore down my tank completely, washed everything with very hot water and vinager, the filter I cleaned and replaced the media, rinsed everything extremely well and put it back together the same night, cycled again and havent had any problems since then.
