The controversy over hybrid fish is an old and tired one. Every hobby has their purist, and unfortunately most of those purist are also eccentric fanatics. If they would teach politely instead of trying to ram a stuck-up opinion down a person's throat, they'd probably find a lot more converts. Sigh..

The hottest debate currently is on dying fish, which again entagles the poor blood parrot, since many of these juvinile fish are now being sold as "cotton candy" parrots in colors that do not occure naturally in these fish.

Well i must agree its a small tank right now but they are babies yet and have plenty time to grow.....:p
And cole i agree with you whole heartedly,i think the blood parrot is a opinionized fish, but its in one persons opinion what they think....thanks cole for your input its much appreciated :)

Now i have another problem that i have with one specific fish.......My Sailfin Pleco's keep dying and i dont want to deal with the aggony no more, what is another good bottom feeder for my 55 gallon tank? Well with further attention my sailfin maybe look sick he moves around but sometimes goes on his side, its kinda wierd!

and one more good thing i did my first water change today on my 55 gallon tank and all seems well, fish are healthy and happy

i dont think they are severums, they are red devils and firemouths, personally i dont like most hybrids, i think its wrong to make a fish that cant close its mouth, is deformed, wont live as long or as healthy as other fish, recently i got an albino peacock which i also do not like but my mom really liked it so i got it for her, they are a weaker strain and he gets beaten up alot and seems to be little mentally challenged, this is not true for all hybrids though such as many discus

id also rethink your tank setup greatly, all those fish will greatly outgrow that tank and fast, pretty much every fish in there gets 1-2`+
