I recently bought 2 convict cichlids for my 30 gallon tank. They have gravel, a heater, a 30 gallon filter , a small 4'' house decoration that used to be in my 1.5 gallon and a 3.5'' fake plant that also used to be in my 1.5 gallon, one terra cotta pot with 5'' diameter , open on both ends, and two whole terra cotta pots with 3'' in diameter and a 20'' tall fake plant. I first need to know the genders of my convicts. I BELIVE the pink is a male and the striped is a female , but im not too sure so thats why im asking. The pink digs in the gravel and has started harassing the female. "he" is a big pig and eats loads where the female dosn't seem to eat anything. She only eats what "he" spits out and occasionally a few flakes. "He" has chased her behind my filter and she seems to be taking refuge there but still won't eat very much. She is exerting so much energy, should I be worried about her? She has no fin damage as I can see and is just being "harassed" by the pink. Any suggestions? I was going to get 6 convicts and let them pair off and return the other 4 but the petland refuses to buy them back at the same price they sold them for. I am feeding them "Mini" cichlid pellets and some tropical flakes , as the mini seem to big for the female (im going to go buy some "baby" pellets for her) Here are some PHOTOS so you can help with the sexing

I know they are quite young (about 3''-3.5'' each) but they breed at this age and from what ive heard CAN be sexed with a close eye. YOUR OPINIONS ARE APPRICIATED AND I HOPE YOU TOOK THE TIME TO READ THROUGH ALL OF THIS! THANK YOU!!
