Convict stocking question

Ok, I'm almost out of guppies in the 20...Oscar is very happy! I'm gonna start with the Convicts when they're gone. Can I keep an oto or 2 in there with them to keep the algae down?

He may eventually go missing, but other than that I don't see a problem with it. Aggressive fish usually ignore Otos as they hardly ever swim out open in the water column.

Ok, cool...I was just in the LFS on my way home from work and got 2 otos...I'm floating them now. :D

I was checking out the convicts while I was there. They agreed that the otos shouldn't really be bothered by the cons...

Now, how do I tell the males from the females? And once they have babies, the otos should still be ok, right? I know the cons don't like anyone near their fry...
