I have a pair of convicts in a 40 gallon hex tank. They had babys about a 100 or more. But ever since they seem too have gotten white spots the female has the most the male has a bit on his tail. I was woundering if this is normal or is somthing really wrong. I don't want to lose the fry. Any help would be nice and thanks in advance. *SUNSMILE*

after my convicts had babies, they were very aggressive towards each other. this may be what ur seeing. the white spots might be ich, but if theyre aggressive towards each other it could be wounds. if it is ich, it will look like grains of salt on their body, maybe keep an eye on them or post some pics so we can verify. i dont know why these guys become aggressive after giving birth, i seperated myn for awhile because the female lip was just about ripped off. but everyone told me not to worry about it. if it is ich, just raise your temp a bit and add a little salt, turn the lights off for a few days, it should clear up.

i think the salt ratio is 1 tablespoon per gallon. but id do a search before u take my word for it, there are plenty of posts here about it.
speaking of convicts, looks like i have about another 100 or so fry this morning. i still have 3 in the tank from the last batch that i cant catch, they will probably end up eating them, its a shame too because one of them in there is one of the nicest and biggest convicts out of that batch of fry.
