it seems to me that my LR and glass is covered with copopods now...one of my clowns are loving it.

do they eat chaeto?

i havent seen any amphipods but i know its out there. cuz of their exoskeletons floating around...man they're big...

(i was getting scared because i thought thos copopods were baby bristle worms.)

i want to increase the population of thos pods any tips?

i'm gonna say that u probably have a lot of pods, u just don't see them. they hide in the crevices of ur rock and mainly come out at night. check ur tank about 30 minutes after the lights go off, u should see tons of amphipods running around the rockwork.

They don't eat macroalgae, but will hide in it and eat whatever they find to eat on it. The populations will increase and decrease over the first year of your tank's life, do don't be upset if you don't see many in a week or two.

Phytoplankton can help keep the population going strong.
