Coral Dip

I'm still having problems with my red/green blasto. I've tried multiple locations in the tank and it's still slowly dieing off. What can I dip it in to make sure it doesn't have a "bug"? I forget what it's called.

Lugol's is the usual treatment. Usually, reef iodine (Lugol's) has the correct dosing on the bottle for a dip.

Blasto's apparently prefer fairly low light, and a lot of people mount them vertically. I killed mine

Maybe that is why mine is doing well, under a ledge and semi shaded.....

I have tried at the top of the tank and on the sand bed.... I think I might have try under a ledge. What kind of blasto do you have, lorna?

it's a red & green one that was about 5 polyps when I got it and now it is about 15.....with a bunch of zoas on the same plug....slowly it is pushing the zoas out and growing....

Sounds like a similar one to mine. I moved it back to the sand bed but this time under a little overhang... Hopefully it starts coming around.

I also spot feed it occasionally a couple mysis shrimp.
