First off sorry i've been gone so long but hey other things come up like mostly boys, and college. but i was wondering how do you like i think the term is "frag" your mushroom corals? if the term isnt frag what i mean is to like make them reproduce faster of artifacailly like forcing them to or w/v

pretty much you cut them right down the middle...then let them re-attach to some rubble in an area of low current (in a tupperware tub)

Yep, I think you could even cut them into slices.

can you do this with other corals as well right now I've got button polyps i think

it really depends on the corals, but most can be "fragged" one way or another, for lps and sps it becomes increasingly more difficult.

these are tough to frag...a better option is to get a small piece of LR rubble and place it next to the polyps...eventually they will spread onto it

well i succeded with a hard exacto and now i have 4 colonies. Take the most separated specimen of the group, cut it clean where the flesh is thin..well cut the "foot" ( yellow lines ) and if it's detached, try to cut/scrape the rock under the polyp ( red lines ) so you will not hurt the animal. Then you could put the specimen on a hollowed rock or rubble in an area when there is no flow, but light. Even if the polyp in on his side, he'll stick eventually to the rock then move toward the light. If you have too much flow, you could hang a 1 $ drilled basket in your tank, near the waterline...filled with rubbles, the polyp will be happy.

halk is blue and half is white, sorry i can't be more specific if you need i can try to find teh reciept
