Coralife 65 watt is hot -- normal?

so my new lighting just came in... i went with the coralife 6700K 65-watt power compact. what a difference it makes in the overall look in my tank! now hopefully my macoalgae i have will get bigger

my question is, it's pretty hot to the touch (the housing)... is this normal? i'd never used any other lights besides the ol' florescents that come in the standard cheap hoods.

yes they do tend to heat up quite a bit

I had a 4x65w with fans and it got really hot! Suprisingly, I never had any troubles with it. However, in a well ventilated DIY setup that wasn't even warm, I had bulbs separate at the base all the time...
