Coralife Aqualight 2x96 watt PC

I bought a couple 30 gallon tanks recently and with them came a Coralife Aqualight 2x96 watt PC fixture. It was used for saltwater, so the bulbs in it right now are 10,000K and an Actinic.

I am contemplating setting up a Marine tank, since I've got the light. I could use it for a planted tank as well I guess, so long as I only use one bulb (that would be 3.2wpg) and added Co2.

I am going to set up an African Cichlid tank, but I think this light is way to powerful and will only cause insane algae growth. I'm really not sure what I should do with this thing. Is there anything else I can do with this light?

You can sell it to me!!!!! and purchase a new lamp that is more suitable for your needs!!!! Assuming you are talking about a 36" unit.

Those lights will give you about 6.4 wpg in the 30 which could work well with a salt water tank. And a 30 gallon would be a great starter size
