I have a CORALIFE Compact Fluorescent Light & need to change the bulb. I attempted to take the old bulb out but the black plug end doesn't seem to want to pull off. I was going to try to pry it off with the flat end of a screwdriver or butter knife but don't want to risk breaking it... before i do that, does anyone here know if this (the plug being a bit stubborn) is a common occurence? Should i pry it off or am i doing something wrong here?

thanks!

just for anyone who might like an answer to this post.... i finally called the place i bought my light & was told that the plug can be pried off with the flat tip of a screwdriver or butter knife but you must give gentle force and work from side to side...don't just pry from the center of the plug.

:)

eykis9,

I am loosing my mind. I really want to get the Coralife Aqualight for my 20gal high tank. However, according to my measurements my tank is about 22.5" wide yet the Aqualights only come in 20" and 24" models.

Which do you have? The 20" models come in 28w and 96w which IMO is either too little or too much wpg...if you have the 24" does it fit or hang over the sides? I want to have about 3-4wpg and I think that 4.8wpg might be way to much!

Hope to hear from you soon! Thanks for any advice...

My god NO!! LOL. Sorry it took so long for me to reply! I have been really busy with this tank. I am trying to get some more fish, clear up my water and plant. Not to mention I am trying to decide whether it's worth me using a real CO2 system instead of the DIY I got going on right now. I really want a CO2 canister, regulator, solenoid, etc. But it is sooo expensive!

Yes I do like hellolights! I pointed out that very model was offered at a cheaper price and guess what? NOW they are offering it at that exact price! I like to see people back up what they claim when they talk about "Price matching". But they do say it has to be EXACTLY what they offer and that it has to be instock already.

Do you think I really need the mounting legs?

Oh yes! you absolutely do need the mounting legs or there is no way to put the light over your tank! Without the mountings legs the light would just lay flat on your glass top.

As for hellolights matching prices .... I also pointed out a cheaper price by another on line dealer & they matched the price.

:D

HanshaSuro,

Did you miss my post above about how to get the bulb out? I said:

"i finally called the place i bought my light & was told that the plug can be pried off with the flat tip of a screwdriver or butter knife but you must give gentle force and work from side to side...don't just pry from the center of the plug."
