Coralife Mini Compact Lamp

Folks,

I have a 10gal tank with an incandescent hood. I bought a couple of the Coralife Mini Compact Fluorescent "Colormax" bulbs. I installed them and the tank looks red. IMO it does not look "daylight" like the box said. Should I have gotten the 50/50 instead? Thanks.

Those Coralife bulbs have a horrible color, IMO. But, the 50/50 are no good for freshwater tanks.

I like the Walmart CF bulbs, or the All Glass ones... the color is much, much better.

I bought a bunch of the Walmart CF bulbs too, much brighter, and without the "coloring" your experiencing.

Thanks for the comments. I bought some of the walmart CFs last night and they are great and cheaper! The Coralifes are going back! Thanks again!

they dont have full spectrum and arent for coral right?

and if your talking about thos 6500k bulbs i got a few works great in my family room.
