I was wondering if anyone had experience (Leopardess, perhaps?) with keeping Corydoras in a planted tank with Schultz Aquatic Plant soil. I ask because I know I've read that you shouldn't keep bottom feeders with barbels with rough substrates. Now, in my opinion, the Schultz is not that rough, but it's not that smooth either. For those unfamilar with it, it is a fractured and baked clay gravel.

Anyone tried it?

I have cories in a planted tank with Schultz. They seem to be very happy, and no signs whatsoever of barbel erosion. I don't think the Schultz is sharp in the way gravel can be. My dojo loach also buries himself completely in the Aquatic Soil without any signs of damage. I guess he wouldn't do it if it hurt him.

I would say cories would be fine with Schultz. :)
