Ok I want a group of cory's in my tank and wanted to get input on the different kinds my LFS has. There are 3 different kinds, panda cory's, paleatus cory's(I think these are the peppered ones), and long fin cory's. Any reasons I should pick one instead of the other? Also how many would I need I think I've read 5 or 6. And what and how much do I feed them?

I'm not really a fan of albino fish, they just look weird to me. So is there really no difference between species other than looks? They all have the same behaviors and such?

all corries are basically the same except for looks, so in ur tank i would get 3 pandas, 3 peppered and maybe 3 longfin since u have lots of room in there, or maybe 2 of each because they like to school and are more active when they are in groups, in my personal experience, 4 or more

The thing is Cories like to school with their own kind and size, at least IME. So two kinds and maybe 3-5 of each. What else are you thinking of putting in your tank???(will help with number of Cories ;))

The cory's will be the last thing for a while because I have to finish my last semester at school and won't be around every week to make sure that everything in the tank is ok. I think I will probably get the peppered ones for now at least. Oh and also another female gourami because my male has started harassing my one quite a bit lately.

I love those panda cories...I saw them the other day for the first time, they are adorable! I wanted a school so badly but I couldn't afford them (at the moment anyway). They were selling for $10 each...school of 5...ouch. I have a school of 5 brochis splendens (Brochis or Emerald Cory's) instead. I really like them, they are a hoot to watch. Quite big though, supposedly get to 4" (mine are about 2.5, 3" right now).
