Cory Question

Yesterday, I saved 2 little corys. They are currently in my 25g. The probeblem is, I don't have anything for them to eat. On thursday I am going to get a BN pleco, and I was planning on getting some hikari wafers too. Right now they seem to like some of my rocks with lots of algae on them.

When I get the wafers, should I break one in half and put it in the tank for the corys?

i have hikari wafers for corys myself. they should both be ok with half a wafer, but a whole wafer would dissapear from the other fish picking at it as well. i would just do a half and see how long it takes to dissapear if the cories get to it first.

Yes, you can feed them algae wafers. They'll also eat flakes and bloodworms, and pretty much most fish foods.

They haven't seemed to notice flakes yet, as it is the only thing I have at the moment. Thanks for the help.

the cories i have wouldnt even touch the flakes, thats why i bought the wafers. thay also eat the bottom feeder catfish carnivore wafers too.

My other fish eat all the flakes at the surface, so nothing really reaches the bottom.

I feed mine the sinking shrimp pellets. i believe there is even a cory on the front of the bottle

I would use the shrimp pellets but I don't think a BN would be happily chewing on something small. I only got $15 bucks left to spend, so money is an issue.

mine is a hikari bag. paid 3.50 for it, its white with orange text and says sinking wafers with a picture of a cory. good price

cories will eat anything that falls to the bottom. I feed mine wardley shrimp pellets.

p.s. No I am not getting my BN from PetCo.

I would go for the first one. The second one is more of algae flakes only. I don't know what the first one is made of, but I think there is more than just algae in it.

I'm going with the second one because I remember Pure saying something about alfalfa being good for BN, and the algae wafers have it but the other one doesn't.
