Just noticed that one of my Cory cats has a really red looking mouth. He's acting and eating normally, but his mouth really looks raw.

Has anyone ever seen this before??

I have not experienced this, it could be a bacterial infection or the first signs of mouth rot. Could also have to do with the substrate, sharp gravel can cut the mouth. I would definitely keep an eye on it, maybe quarentine. Maybe someone else can give you more info.

I would check all your water perameters and maybe put some pimafix in the tank if you have it, just to be safe.

Like Lakea said it could be sharp gravel too. When I changed my tank over to sand I found my cories were MUCH happier and I saw a lot less damage to their mouths.
