Yea we got them, that pic is from our tank. They do look alittle like jullis, but they have a brilliant gold color to them on the fins. The gold is kinda hard to see in that pic, but they were very active so thats the only clear pic I got so far.

Hi I have 5 sterba's in my 50 gal. They are wonderful fish. Easy to take care of, but be sure to do water changes...they get really sluggish in a dirty tank. Mine eat mostly at night. I have a pair that I have had about 9 years. I have only gotten them to breed once, and they a son in the tank with them.

They are really expensive in my area, but well worth it. They are a great addition to community tank.

Thanks for the tips janjan :) Right now they're in a tank that gets weekly water changes, and has plenty of plants. If they seem unhappy, I'll move them to another tank.

They weren't cheap... $15 each. The damned store keeps getting irrisistable fish in. ;)

I had 4 sterbai's, but one died because it was weak. it also got its eye taken out :(. so now I have 3. I also have another one that looks retarded. His head is rounded forhead, not pointe.
Those are some expensive cories. I only paid $6.95. Ar the pet store I work for $4.49 :)

they are absolutely beautiful corys,a bit touchy though.i find they need very clean substrate to ensure healthy whiskers.i had a pair, now i have but one.i lost the other one about a month ago,it always had a bit of trouble with it's barbels.presumably i lost it due to the erosion of the barbels.that one never did eat much....
none the less a stunning fish, one that no cory lover should pass up.
