Hi,

Soon I'll be upgrading my 29 gallon to a 55 gallon. So I was wondering what kind of crab I could get ( if any ). The Pet store I go to sells fiddler crabs and red claw crabs. The fish I have are:

* 29 gallon soon to be a 55 gallon*
1 Elephant nose
1 Male Neon Dwarf Gourami
2 Angelfish
3 Peppered Cory Cats
1 Green Cory Cat
1 Pregnant Female Fancy Guppy
1 Male Swordtail
1 Bristlenose Pleco

So would a crab work out in my tank when I get a 55 gallon?

I believe fiddler and red claw crabs both require an area to get out of the water, to let their gills dry. Otherwise they will die within a month or so. But I think I heard that the red claw crab usually lasts longer. Usually. *thumbsups

I'd suggest getting a few more elephantnoses instead as they are very social from what I hear. They use their noses to communicate or something. lol.

Yikes... that's good to know rohnds. I was wondering about fiddler crabs myself. They look so cute in my lps but one did seem to be eyeing up the single fish in the tank alot which made me wonder.

Good site Lenny. Just what i've been looking for.. info on all the "other" things you can put in aquariums... or not... as the case may be... :D
