Cucumber for my pleco

Can any-one tell me do i have to peel the cucumber for my pleco?Or will He/She eat it either way and what about goldfish will they eat it??? *BOUNCINGS

yes i believe both eat cuccumber. theres a post dealing with a problem between a pleco and a goldfish fighting over cuccumber. here it is.

i think peeling the cuccumber isnt needed either, my plecos seem to eat the entire slice

Goldfish will eat cucumber no problem. Be careful with a pleco unless it is a bristle nose or bushy nose in with goldfish as they tend to suck on the goldfish and do harm to them. You can leave the peel on the cucumber, but make sure to do a water change after a while to get up left overs.

My pleco and clown loaches seem to eat around the rhine of the cucumber/zuchini/squash. I leave it in the tank overnight and when I wake I take out the rhine. Usually that is all that remains. I wouldn't waste time peeling it for them.

He loves the cucmber i put in i've been tryinh to take his picture but he doesnt like the light.We finally named him the Undertaker seems apropriate for him.I'll keep trying on the pic.

i grew english cucumber for my fish this year. they are like normal cucumbers but easier to grow and have a tough skin. they can easily go through store bought cucumber but the english one's skin lasted about a week after everything was eaten.

generally there are no cucumber reamins. everyone in my tank likes it, especially my bristle nose. he has a very few bristles and they are short. i really think the ones with big bristles are ugly. i can't stand to look at those.

Leave the skin there, in fact they'll like the skin better!

i didnt realize cucumber was good for plecos.....what about drift wood? I heard that was good for them too?

I only leave the cucumber in for a day or two and then take out the remainder to avoid polluting the water

I tried the cucumber...they tore it up! but didnt eat much of the skin. I pulled that out so as not to pollute the water.
