curious starfish question :)

hey guys just out of curiosity, if you have a star fish and you cut it in half would it grow back into two star fishes?

Why would you ever do that?

I think as long as a piece of each organ system is existant, it would work... But I'm not sure.

And some kinds of starfish can regenerate an entire body from just one arm, meaning you could turn one starfish into five.

But don't do it.

i don't have any starfish , but i really wanna get a saltwater tank but that'll take a whole lota money

It should grow back in time...but of course you shouldnt cut it in the first place.

some starfish will regenerate from that leg into two...others will just replace the leg

it really isnt ethical though...spend the 8 bucks on another starfish
