Current in the water or not?

As you can tell in my signature, I have a 29g cycling that will be done sometime hopefully in this century (I a little anxious, can you tell?) and have been doing a lot of research about the fish I want to keep. There will be cories, blue gourami, angelfish, and tetras. From what I've read, the angel and blue gourami like calm water but cories like a current. Will this be a problem? It's probably a dumb question but I just want to get everything done right.

nah, cories can live without current(but they might get lazy and start "tanning" for you) current is good if you want to keep your corys active and some fish do prefer a current in the tank.

what kind of cories are they?

I don't have any yet as my tank is still cycling. I think the only ones I could get would be emerald and one other. Not sure what it is because when they had them I didn't look at the name. It might be peppered(sp?).
