Current in the water or not?

As you can tell in my signature, I have a 29g cycling that will be done sometime hopefully in this century;) (I a little anxious, can you tell?) and have been doing a lot of research about the fish I want to keep. There will be cories, blue gourami, angelfish, and tetras. From what I've read, the angel and blue gourami like calm water but cories like a current. Will this be a problem? It's probably a dumb question but I just want to get everything done right.

nah, cories can live without current(but they might get lazy and start "tanning" for you:D) current is good if you want to keep your corys active and some fish do prefer a current in the tank.

what kind of cories are they?

I don't have any yet as my tank is still cycling. I think the only ones I could get would be emerald and one other. Not sure what it is because when they had them I didn't look at the name. It might be peppered(sp?).
