Cycle bacteria suppliment

Has anyone used the bacterial supplement Cycle made by Nutrafin?

Does anyone know if you can combine it with Biospira to create a mega colony of bacteria??

i hear cycle by nutrafin isn't that good but i've never used it so i'm not too sure. If your gonna use biospira you won't need the cycle cause biospira can cycle the whole tank in a day and cycle by nutrafin is supposed to help cycle but at the speed of biospira there isn't really any need for it.

yeah..i was thinking of using Cycle for after the initial setup..the instructions say you can add more bacteria every week or so to help out...

what im concerned with is whether cycle will hinder or harm the biospira colonies?

Cycle never did anything with the speed of cycling in my tanks...I think its bunk and a waste of $$. Spend your money on biospira, follow the directions, and all should be well.

Cycle wouldn't harm anything...but its not bacteria like biospira is, its things that supposedly help bacteria grow.

Cycle does not work - I tried it. If you spend the money on bio-spira make sure that you buy it from a dealer that keeps it refrigerated and that it isn't expired.

ya, biospira's shelf life is realy short... if you want something to help out the bacteria colonies i hear Seachem Stability worked for someone on one of the threads somewhere labeled biospira and add like a capful or something every month or so but i dont know if it'll help out too good or not.

Stresszyme worked well for me especially for ammonia-processing bacteria and even better in conjunction with biospira.
Nitrites tend to be tougher to get rid of. I waited more then a week...
