cycling a 55 gallon tank?

how do u go about speeding up the prossess of cycling. I've heard that if I transfer everything from my 10 to my 55 it will cycle alot faster and I been hearing withing 2 weeks is this true? cause I want to get my fish into it as soon as possible once I get it.

It will shorten the Cycle. It still may take longer then 2 weeks.

what is the average time to fishless cycle? and how long do u suppose it will take for it to cycle the way I plan? a rough guess is fine.

There really isnt an average time. Adding stuff from a cycled tank will speed it up but there isnt any formula that can compute the time required. I would add one piece of Decor from the 10G tank and let it go. You will have to keep checking. Even when it is cycled if you add a large Bio-load you will have a mini cycle like I did on my 75G. Just wait it out.

if you fishless cycle with ornaments from your old tank i would guess about 2 weeks.

ok I just need as much info as possible I"m pretty sure I'm getting one for christmas. I kinda heard my mom talking.now I'm just trying to make some plans for a stand.
