Nobody has ever told me this so i figured it would most likely go under the begginner topics. Do you need a heater and/or light to maintain a cycle? Or is it okay to just have a filter going? Thanks!
You don't need the light. The heater will help cycle faster, as the bacteria multiply faster at slightly higher temps. However, you don't really need a heater while cycling.
