Hello,
I have 6 Neon Rosy Barbs. They have been with me for 3 months. All seem very healthy, are always moving and eating very well.
A few weeks ago, I noticed that one of the barbs had a damaged gill cover. The cover skin is folded to the side. I took the fish out with the net and touched the gill cover, and it is hard, impossible to bring back to its normal shape.
I thought it could be a damage by a parasite and added Aquarium Pharmaceuticals General Cure a few weeks ago.
2 plecos have died in this aquarium. Each lasted about a month, then died. I attributed the deaths to starvation, because the Rosy barbs eat everything, don't leave anything left for the plecos.
Water quality seems to be OK. i check for Ammonia, Nitrites, Nitrates, PH, hardness, etc.
Any ideas?
Rimsky
