Danio color

Why would my Zebra danio turn white? minutes later he got his color back, i have no idea how or why he did this. Any ideas?

Maybe you scared him. Just kidding. I have no clue. I never seen this before on mine. Google search turned up zilch.

Was he white when you turned the lights on and then colored up? Many fish get pale at night, they can also get pale when stressed.

Yep,it's likely he got scared,either by movement or more likely by a knock,say a door slamming for example.
When a fish gets scared the pigment cells in the skin contract which causes the colour of the skin underneath to show through,thats why he appears white.When they expand again he gets his colour back.
