Not anything particular to danios that I am aware of, although they are subceptable to all other known fish diseases. Maintain a healty tank, and I swear those danios live for freaking ever. I've got two long finned blue ones that keep on trucking, and they are at least five years old now. The biggest thing with danios is that they have a tendacy to nip each other's fins, especially the long finned varieties, which gives them a particularly ratty look.

I haven't heard of anything that they are particularly susceptible to...with the exception of them being pigs and overeating if you feed them too much, or choking on food that is too big for them to get into their mouths. I think I read somewhere that they tend to get TB...and thats what a lot of them die from because they are so hardy and don't die from a lot of the diseases that other fish catch easily, but I haven't ever seen one with TB before...

I read somewhere that you shouldn't put your hands into the tank with open wounds (your open wounds) if you think you have TB in the tank.

I am assuming a lot of you have been immunized against TB (I know I was).

Always a good idea to wash up after having your hands in the tank (and before of course, too).
