I have lost two albino catfish in the last two weeks. They were both new but purchased at two different lfs's at different times and they were not in the tank together. I bought the second one to replace the first one that died.

What happens is we put the catfish into the water after acclimating. The next day the catfish starts swimming frantically up the walls of the tank and eventually stays at the top of the tank. Then it dies. I have checked my water and all levels seem to be great according to the test strips and vial tests. The other fish are doing fine, I have two larger size Angels, two parrot fish, four rosybarbs, one shark, and one plec*. I was wondering why both catfish did the same exact thing. Whats wrong?

This seems to be happening a lot with cories, at least among friends who have tanks. Also, there were a number of posts here regarding the same behavior. IMO the only explanation that I can find is that there is some sort of internal parasite "going around". Others may have other explanations.
