I recently got an albino pleco less than an inch long, who after two weeks died :( . Before it died it was amazingly active and ate all the time. About five days before it died it had compleatly cleaned my tank of algae, and it wouldn't eat pellets that my common's eat (which was recomended by the fish store I bought it at), or any aquatic plants.( I have some sword and ...a long leafy plant in the tank.)
I figure it starved, but I would like to know what I should have fed it. Does anyone have an idea?
It was in a ten gal tank with 2 dwarf frogs, an two leopard zebra fish. Water was normal.

Welcome to the tank, and sorry to hear about your fish.

I'd say it more likely died of internal parasites than starvation. If you saw it eating during those two weeks, I doubt it was starving, as a week is too short for a fish to starve to death. In the future, I wouldn't recommend any kind of pleco in a 10g tank, they're just too messy to have in a tank that small.
