dead discus

i seem to have bad luck with keeping my fish alive.
my discus died last night, he had labored breathing last night and he looked really bad, pale, tight fins, and i thought about just putting him out of his misery but i kinda hoped he would pull through. my female(which i know she is because she has attempted to lay eggs) was by him nudging him while i was there. he just kept going on his side, and shed push him up right again.
but ya...im sad about it.
maybe it was my fault because i got a sick fish...and treated him wrong? who knows. i tried to help him so i gotta give myself credit for that.

thanks everybody. i appreciate the kindness.

i still kind of feel at fault. its like...i could have done something. bought some more medicine...spent more time and money on him. but what can ya do...
