thought I would post here as Im having issues all over and even the specialists seem stumped

background:

110 litre tank stockked with 3 small goldfish and 1 nerite snail

2/3 months ago the snail started falling on her back all the time (the fish dont bother her so it wasnt that) she was still alive and would play with bits of gravel and if you righted her she would slithers of about 5 to 10cm and then fall over again

5/6 weeks ago we treat for fin rot on our comet tail

3 weeks ago our yellow goldfish got very sick, very quickly - he lost most his body weight, all his appetite, couldn't swim - we had him tested and looked at by a marine biologist who ran tests but all came back clear so they put it down as the latent effect of a birth defect, he died the day after

now the water levels are all over the place

the problem:

2 days before dying the goldfish rubbed accidentally against the upside down snail and she shut her trapdoor, now she hasn't moved for over 2 weeks - her trapdoor has completely fallen off but she does NOT smell (yes she is inside the shell you can see her) now everyone is stumped, anyone know if she is dead or not?

that tank cant be healthy. 3 goldfish is too much, they are coldwater fish and the nerite likes tropical temps.
if the snail doesnt move much, and parts of it have fallen off then its going to die soon. it is likely not because the goldfish touched it, but because of the overall tank environment. they are sensitive inverts and do not tolerate bad water parameters or even nitrates over 40ppm.
