well despite what everybody has said my tank has been dull and hardly no movement so i decided to buy another oscar...since most of you know my old one died :(...Well yes i have a 15 gallon tank but i am getting either a 45 or 55 tank for Christmas so i thought well id get one just because its black friday hes a medium small guy and only was 6 bucks...Well He doesnt look like a shark bait so i need to get a new name for him! ill post pics soon after he is adapted and the stress is low again!

I had mine in a 10 gallon until he was about 3 or 4 inches before moving him to a 55(you should get a 55 at LEAST as they can grow larger than the tank width itself). Try some craigslist/garage sales to find a nice 95-125 gallon tank set ups fairly well priced.

I love oscars, they are one of my favorite fish to keep. Nothing beats a good south dakota walleye eatin'. Check out the oscar discussion in the cichlid section. Lots of good flamebait for everyone

well, I hope you do get a 55 soon. Keep up on big water changes, as many as possible. I'd say 2/week. Sure, he's small, but they are still very messy. Feed small amounts (the more he eats the more he excretes!) You want to ensure that he can make it until christmas!
