I can't make up my mind as far as bottom dwellers for my 55. My original plan was to get 4-6 cories and then an L-183. After spending my time looking at more types of fish i've found myself torn as to what to get. And i'm not good with stocking bigger tanks so im not sure just how many bottom dweller type fish i could fit in my tank. Thus i'm looking for some opinons on what all i could add to my 55 (stocking in my sig plus 3 more black neons and an angel)

Here's the list of options:
L183
Clown pl*co
Another group of cories (probably julis)
3 zebra loaches

What are my stocking options with these choices? All recommendations and other ideas welcome.

I think you could have both plecos and the loaches if you only had your one shoal of cories. In a big tank, they'd be much happier in a bigger group, so I'd just get a couple more peppered cories (or 4 more :)).

The plecos both get around 4 inches, but they will be major poop machines.

If the tank was heavily planted to help with nitrates and hiding places for all the bottom feeders, then I'd say go for all of them. But I really think one big school of cories, loaches, and 2 plecos will be enough.

I regret getting 2 types of cories. Mine are all spotted, but not the same types, so they don't usually hang out together. Instead I have 9 cories that hide 99% of the time. Go with one big shoal (of 6-8)...you'll be alot happier and the cories will too.
