Decoration broken

I recently ordered an aerated alligator head/mouth on ebay. Upon receiving it today it turns out to be broken. Basically the top part and the bottom part of the alligators mouth arent connected.

My question is would it be hazardous to glue this together? What if anything could I use to connect this without it being hazardous to my fish? (tank is still empty)

Superglue or aquarium-safe silicon or epoxy (you can find the latter two at your LFS).

is the hinge busted? im not sure what you are talking about, but if im correct, and you hinge is brogen, you could try putting a new rod in.

Return to sender for a replacement/refund. Don't settle for receiving broken merchandise. Makes it hard on every single other consumer.

I would agree with returning it, and if they don't accept it then leave negative feedback.

If you glue it, then wouldn't it be stuck in one position (open or closed) and thereby defeat the purpose of attaching the aerator to make the jaw open and close?
