Dedicated to A Fish Brand?

Hey i was wonderin if anybody is like strict or prefers to follow a certain company in almost all its products. I sorta am, i really like Hagen Products so i tend to wanna buy stuff made by them. Only if they dont sell it ill opt for someone else. Anyone else like this?

I generally go By reccomendations from my lfs, friends etc.... one company may be good at making filters (AC, Emporoer) while another company may be good at making heaters (EBO JAGER) "shameless plug) you know, and Money also factors into the equation, but generally yes, alot of my stuff has ended up being IE Hagen generakky because of Packaging, Price, recommendations, availabilty etc.......... they all get factored into my equations.

I like hagen decoy such as Co2 and things like that and for fish foods i go with wardley

as far as food goes, im not dedicated to one variety in particular, when i need a certian type of live i merely compare the ammounts of protein and fats in the food, same with flake and whatnot.

filters - im not picky, as long as they to their job, i usualy tinker with everything anyway But i dont buy cheap stuff, you get what you pay for except those new tetra techs, their idea competes with biowheels, but when power goes off and you're using the heater insert, you've got a melted filter

any other equipment, i tinker and rig it to do what i need it to do

i usually use all brands, i keep some many different kinds of foods for some many different fish its impossible to keep one brand, all the hikari freeze dried foods, most kinds of frozen foods of bunch of differnet brands, tetra rich mix, tetra color enhancer flakes, hikari staple cichlid pellets, hikari gold cichlid pellets, HBH african cichlid attack, aquatrol spirulina flakes, aquatrol spirulina flakes, omega one african cichlid flakes, various san fransico bya frozen foods, new life spectrum medium and large pellets, hikari algae wafers, hikari bottom feeder pellets, and various live foods, im sure im forgetting some but those are the more general leaving out fry foods and such

i usually stay pretty loyal to tetra foods. i have pretty much all white clouds so i feed them the regular food in the morning and the red enhancer at night for thier tails. in about 3 weeks i noticed a difference in color. i assume to be from the food.

I was approached by Hagan sales rep when I first opened and was told by said indiviudual that " a fish only store would'nt make it in the business".
I refused to buy from Hagan for years, however....

For Powerheads, - Hagan is Tonka quality. They run forever.

For Filters - the Aquaclear series is a trustable, reliable unit that will still flow even when you forget to clean it, and when it finally cloggs, you have a good week before the motor burns out.
(Generally speaking of couse. We do not recommend neglecting your filter.)

Heaters - um...GO EBO

The rest of the gear, is personal preferance.

Auto Feeding Systems - nice, reliable, and prgramable.

Airpumps- had many, many, many, amny returned. Find an alternative if your budget allows.

I buy only Sanfrancisco Bay Brand frozen foods and I try to get only Seachem products for the plants. Other than that, whatever's cheap and sturdy.
